Learning Rocks! Using Music to Teach Academic Content

October 9, 2009
Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Baker Downtown Center, Room 130
Presenter: Bryan Reed

When teachers use music, songs, and chants embedded with educational content, they engage students in a powerful and brain friendly means to remember and learn. This workshop focuses on how to find, write, and use effective teaching songs to instill enthusiasm for learning into your classroom. Participants will come away with a handful of their own new teaching songs, two audio CDs to use in the classroom, and, most importantly, the know-how and confidence to use teaching songs effectively-to make learning rock! If you are looking for new tools to bring excitement to your classroom in the coming school year, this workshop is for you. These strategies will energize your teaching and motivate your students.

Participants, please bring:
