Betty Shoemaker
Dr. Betty Jean Shoemaker recently retired after serving as a curriculum and staff development coordinator for District 4J in Eugene, Oregon. She has taught regular and special education classrooms since 1965. Betty earned her Ph.D. at the University of Oregon in Curriculum and Instruction. She has worked district-wide providing instructional leadership and developing curriculum and assessment resources for staff. She continues to provide professional development to administrators, teachers, and instructional assistants. Betty consults nationally in the areas of literacy, integrated thematic curriculum, performance-based assessment, and teaching methodology. She has published work in Education Leadership, Phi Delta Kappan, and Reoper Review. |
